About Us

The Dark Horse Saloon , established in March 2010 in the heart of downtown Bel Air, features American favorites and authentic, award-winning barbecue. A local landmark, the original building dates back to the post civil war era and have remained a focal point of the community as home to John’s barbershop, a watch repair store and the original headquarters of the Aegis newspaper .

Now, the new renovations made by The Dark Horse Saloon pay tribute to the rich history of the building while enhancing it with five bars, a spacious deck with outside eating area, and western & horse racing themed murals by local artist Marshall Adams. A Life-size bronze horse and cigar store Indians inhabit every corner of the building, offering a warm and cozy atmosphere that invites both families and bar hoppers alike to enjoy a refreshing drink or hot meal that won’t soon be forgotten.

All five full-service bars at The Dark Horse Saloon features over 20 different draft beers and an extensive collection of single barrel bourbons and aged tequilas. The saloon also pioneered the frozen drink frontier with its original TG Red Bull & Vodka Slushie. Now, 25 slushie machines feature frozen Margaritas, Pina Coladas, Hurricanes, and other custom-blended seasonal creations.

The menu is a unique collection of southwestern classics and authentic barbeque infused with a surprising twist of fresh ingredients and the Chef’s custom blends of spices.
